Robert Gainsford Sheffield Champagne coolers

A pair of English Champagne/wine coolers, 9.25" tall x 8.50" top diameter, close to 7lbs each, fused silver on copper known as "old Sheffield plate" versus the later electro-plated method, bearing Robert Gainsford, Sheffield trademark registered in 1808, etched dragon wing family crests, rococo ornamentation elements are present in the lush top & bottom rim composed of leaves, shells and scrolls and with the double shell handles, a little copper shows on some high points (mostly on handles) but otherwise in superb condition for their age, tinned interior and liners in good shape, a rare and desirable pair of Georgian Sheffield Champagne coolers stock #4065N7
